The Department of Commerce’s United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) today issued a patent to Vegetable Fresh Corporation of America’s senior researcher John D. Cornwell for “nanofresh fibers” and a process for their production. The fibers have silk-like properties, are biodegradable and are useful in the transportation and storage of perishable goods.
